Accommodation In Val Thorens

The village of Val Thorens is best served by Geneva, Lyon and Chambéry airports. Over 2 hours from Geneva and Lyon, whereas 1.5 hours from Chambéry. However, Chambéry is less frequently served.

Val Thorens has the throne of being the highest alpine resort village in France, sitting at 2,300m. Due to its purpose built nature, plenty of the accommodation is ski-in ski-out and ideal for a day of skiing. Dominated by self-catering apartments that over look the piste, don’t be surprised if self-catering is the way to go for your stay in Val Thorens – even if these apartments look like dominating hotels.

Val Thorens does however provide excellent ski-in/ski-out access from plenty of accommodations, allowing you to step out and get onto the slopes directly. The convenient setup eliminates the need for transportation to the lifts, enhancing the overall skiing experience.
