Three Valleys Ski Accommodation
Surprisingly, with the Three Valleys ski resort spanning various French towns, the main problem is finding out where to stay. Meribel remains somewhat in the centre and provides easy access to the whole Three Valleys piste. Staying in Courchevel, Orelle or even Val Thorens makes exploring the whole Les 3 Vallée piste map somewhat difficult, due to the sheer amount of lifts and skiing you have to get through.
To summarise, staying in the Three Valleys isn’t cheap. But then again skiing in France isn’t always the cheapest option. Courchevel provides high end accommodation and a pretty village atmosphere. Les Menuires offers some great ski-in and ski-out options, slightly better value for money and high quality ski lifts. Méribel offers a lively apré scene, great access to the entire ski area. Similarly, Val Thorens offers lively aprés, typically the snowiest resort being Europe’s highest resort. Lastly, moving away from the larger, purpose built resorts you can look towards the cheaper accommodation in the towns of Brides les Bains (a gondola ride away from Meribel) & Bozel (car & bus access to Courchevel).
