The Slovenian ski resort Mariborsko Pohorje (Maribor Pohorje) is located in the Podravska. On the forested slopes of the Pohorje Mountains just above the city of Maribor. Well known for its easy accessibility, enjoyable ski runs and vibrant winter atmosphere.
Often referred to as simply the Maribor ski map or Maribor resort, the official name is Mariborsko Pohorje, Maribor piste is also Slovenia’s largest ski area and a beautiful destination that blends winter sports with local culture. Easy access from the city of Maribor make for a great, convenient location.
Offering just over 40km of slopes to explore with 16 lifts, relatively low heights only ranging from just over 300m towards the mid 1,000m. Featuring one of the longest lit slopes in Europe providing over 4 km of night skiing.
You can explore long, gentle blue runs and trickier red runs, for those more advanced. A few steeper red and black slopes for advanced skiers are worth exploring and snowmaking covers most of the resort ensuring good conditions throughout winter. Not to mention the availability of night skiing, with one of Europe’s longest illuminated ski runs.
Infrastructure of the Maribor Pohorje ski resort includes a variety of lifts. From a central gondola, chairlifts, and surface tows that connect the ski resort of Maribor. Additionally, plenty of night skiing is available – a unique feature not all ski resorts can offer.
Mariborsko Pohorje / Maribor piste also plays host to the Golden Fox FIS World Cup women’s race.
