The Slovakian ski resort of Donovaly (Park Snow) is located in the Banská Bystrica Region of Slovakia and offers 11km of slopes to explore with 24 lifts transporting you to a heights just below and above 1,000m.

Park Snow Donovaly piste map is one of Slovakia’s best-known ski areas, boasting over 11 km of groomed runs spread across nearing 20 runs. Divided between two main skiing zones, Záhradište and Nová Hoľa. Záhradište, Donovaly is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers, with gentle slopes and broad runs.

Donovaly Park Snow has earned a reputation definitely within Slovakia, and in Europe’s as one of the more family-friendly ski resorts. Its Fun Park, located in the Mistríky area is one of the largest ski play and teaching areas in Central Europe. An expansive children’s facility includes plenty of conveyor lifts and a motorized carousel, making it effortless and fun for young learners to practice turning and gliding on snow. Ski schools welcome children as young as three, and the area regularly features games, competitions, and even scenic snow train rides.

For those wanting expert terrain, it may not be for you. However, there are red runs and the odd black run to keep you busy. That being said, don’t expect long and challenging red or black runs like you would in other parts of Europe. Furthermore, the resort is scattered with mainly T-Bars, with occasional lifts. With T-Bars not always a snowboarders first mode of transport.

Nevertheless, something truly unique is the night skiing offering. Several slopes in the Záhradište area are lit in the evenings, from late afternoon into the early night. Making it possible to enjoy extra runs into the darkness of the night sky.
