Romania Ski Maps
Romania ski resorts and Romania ski maps are built around the Carpathian Mountains. Most ski resorts in Romania are located in the Southern and Eastern Carpathians. Compared with the Alps, Romanian ski areas are much smaller and affordable. They bring a mix of modern lifts and more traditional, laid-back atmospheres. The Romania ski season typically runs from December through to March/early April, similar to elsewhere in Europe and of course, depending on snowfall and snowmaking capabilities.
There are a few Romanian ski resorts to forward to and Romania has over 200km of slopes available serviced by over 150 lifts. With many small resorts. However, one of the best ski resorts in Romania is Straja. Which also happens to be the largest ski resort in Romania, although the highest ski resort for skiing and snowboarding in Romania is just over 2,000m and found at Balea Lac.
