The Monterosa ski map and resort is a large, classic Italian ski resort area located on the southern slopes of the Monte Rosa massif in the Alps, bordering the Aosta Valley and Piedmont regions of north-western Italy. Monterosa is often described as one of the country’s most scenic and varied ski destinations. Bringing together charming alpine villages with varied terrain for all abilities.
Heights range from approximately just over 1,000 metres to over 3,000 metres on glacier slopes, providing relatively reliable snow. You’re able to explore well over 160 kilometres of pistes in a variety of valleys across the piste map of Monterosa. Furthermore, nearing 50 ski lifts from gondolas, to chairlifts, cables cars and even funiculars whisk you quickly around the slopes.

Accommodation in Monterosa
Monterosa accommodation is predominately located around several distinct alpine villages, each with its own charm. Champoluc (Val d’Ayas), the largest and most family-friendly base with easy cruising terrain. Gressoney (Lys Valley), offers up a traditional villages including Gressoney-La Trinité and Gressoney-Saint-Jean, with beautiful mountain views. Lastly, Alagna Valsesia, a freeride and off-piste stronghold, with broader, wilder terrain and steep, exciting descents.
Smaller villages such as Antagnod, Brusson or Champorcher are nearby and offer a quieter experience.
