Breuil Cervinia Ski Map
Cervinia, with the town itself known as Breuil-Cervinia, is a ski resort found in the larger ski resort area of Zermatt, Matterhorn (Monte Cervino) – Switzerland. One of Italy’s highest and most snow sure ski resorts. Located in the Valle d’Aosta region,
In the total ski area, the includes Cervinia (Zermatt/Breuil-Cervinia/Valtournenche – Matterhorn), you can find plentiful action. Over 300km of slopes, over 50 lifts and heights ranging from over 1,500 to almost 4,000m. This high altitude means excellent snow reliability throughout the ski season, with skiing often available as early as October and sometimes into early summer. Furthermore, the glacier provides consistently good conditions, and pistes can stay in healthy condition even during warm spells.
The Cervinia ski map and terrain is dominated by long, open pistes. Famous for having excellent beginner terrain, especially around Plan Maison. Fantastic choice and selection for those of intermediate ability with over 200 kilometres of red slopes. For those seeking an extra thrill and of advanced ability, access to steeper and more technical terrain in Zermatt can be explored.
The Matterhorn Ski Paradise area is one of the largest and best ski resorts in the world, and is the highest ski resort in the alps at almost 4,000m above sea level. You can enter Switzerland through Zermatt and Italy through Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche.
Cervinia village is built above the treeline and has a relaxed, friendly feel. It’s not as traditional as some classic mountain hamlets, but expect a pleasant compact, walkable centre, plenty of bars, cafés, restaurants, lively après ski scene and spectacular views of the Matterhorn.
Compared to neighbouring Zermatt, Cervinia is more affordable. This makes it a great base for those who want Matterhorn skiing without the luxury price tag.

Accommodation in Breuil Cervinia
Because Breuil Cervinia ski map and area is a predominately purpose built ski resort, I would not expect picture postcard accommodation. However, expect a mix of elegant 5 star hotels to budget friendly 2-3 star hotels as well as self-catering apartments and chalets. Imagine Breuil Cervinia as a great way to access the Zermatt and Matterhorn piste but a friendlier price.
Fortunately, Cervinia accommodation does include some ski-in and ski-out options, easy access to the slopes and lifts for your stay.
