Ceillac

Ceillac Ski Map

The Ceillac ski map and resort is a small, charming, yet beautiful ski resort located in the Hautes-Alpes region of France, within the Queyras Regional Natural Park. Ceillac is recognised for its peaceful atmosphere, elegant alpine scenery and unspoiled traditional village setting. Ceillac is a true hidden gem for families, beginners, and nature lovers who want to escape the crowds of larger French ski destinations.

Not well known, but great height elevations, ranging from 1,650 to 2,500 metres. Although not the largest of piste area to explore with around 25 kilometres, you have green, blue and red runs all available. So beginners and intermediates are sorted for a day on the slopes. Experts will be left wanting more with, but a great opportunity to practise some new skills.

Thanks to its position, relatively far south and in the Queyras. Ceillac finds itself in one of the sunniest yet coldest regions in France. Meaning the Ceillas piste map benefits from excellent natural snow, low humidity and relatively reliable winter conditions. Furthermore, snowmaking helps to support the lower slopes when required.

Beyond traditional alpine skiing and snowboarding, Ceillas offers other things to do. Including:

  • Nordic skiing
  • Ice climbing
  • Snowshoeing
  • Sledging & beginner areas
  • Winter hiking in the Queyras valleys

Accommodation in Ceillac

the Ceillac village and town is a picture postcard alpine village with stone houses, wooden chalets and a peaceful rural charm. The village feels intimate and traditional with small family run hotels and guesthouses, holiday apartments and chalets. Local bakeries and restaurants provide that French charm that many have come to love.

Because Ceillac is less commercialised than major ski destinations around France and the resort of Europe, prices for food, accommodation and lift passes are good value.
