Bulgaria Ski Map
Skiing in Bulgaria is largely viewed for beginnings and intermediates. You’re presented with a good variety of blue and green runs, the odd choice of red runs, with the occasional black. Nevertheless with tree lined runs, night skiing, adventure activities and free riding, Bulgaria still has a lot to offer.
Bulgaria’s largest ski areas are Borovets and Bansko, but with only 5km and 3km of black runs, advanced skiing is limited compared to it’s European rivals.

Best Bulgaria Ski Resorts
Bulgarian ski resorts are relatively high altitude but most snow falls after New Year and with temperatures warming up around March, the season isn’t particularly long. Couple that without any glacier skiing pick your skiing dates carefully. Although some sunshine whilst skiing is definitely not a bad thing!
Combine great value ski schools, cheaper food, drinks and a lively apré evenings, for a no frills skiing holiday you’ll be hard pressed to beat Bulgaria, particularly Borovets or Bansko. As you can expect, this usually lures in the younger crowd.
