Sarajevo Ski Map
The Babin Do ski map and resort is a small, historic ski resort area on Mount Bjelašnica, just outside Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sometimes referred to as the Bjelašnica ski map too. Perhaps best known as the main base village and original ski zone of Bjelašnica, closely tied to the 1984 Winter Olympics.
Although limited infrastructure and facilities when compared to the larger Bosnian ski resort of Jahorina, and definitely many European alternatives. Easy access from Sarajevo make it relatively popular – 25–30 km (about 30 minutes by car).
Lift systems on the Babin Do piste map are limited, chairlifts and button lifts are the norm. But they take you from elevations of just over 1,200m to just over 2,000m, with 14km of groomed piste to explore. Ski runs on the Babin Do – Bjelašnica Ski Map are varied, with blue, red and black available. However, difficulties and grading are to be taken lightly.
Additionally, there are ski rentals, ski school, cafés, and simple mountain restaurant facilities available for use. Lastly, all this said, lift passes, food, and lodging are significantly cheaper than Western European resorts. Therefore great value and enjoyment can be had.
