Geilo Ski Map
The Norwegian ski resort Geilo is located in Hallingd. with over 30km of slopes available and 18 lifts reaching heights of up to 1,176 m.
There are two sides to the SkiGeilo resort, Geilosiden and the Slaatta village and on other side, Vestlia. The Geilosiden ski resort is the larger of the two and on this side of the mountain you’ll find a healthy variety of green, blue, red and even black runs. A short bus ride away you’ll find the other side of the resort, Vestlia where here the skiing and snowboarding is slightly easier but still has a good mix of runs to explore.
In the small resort you’ll find ski school and ski rental, children’s areas, child care facilities and a few restaurants.

Accommodation In Geilo
Norway can be relatively expensive compared to its European counterparts.
Yet, accommodation coming in a variety ways provides flexibility and opportunities to keep costs down. Cabins and quaint wooden style shelters can provide a typical Norwegian stay with self-catering, dedicated self-catering chalets, apartments and lodges can also provide a cheaper alternative. Lastly, small style hotels provide a great base to explore from, often including breakfast.
The smaller resorts in Norway mean accommodation can be limited with low availability during the peak seasons – so we recommend booking in advance.
