Alpe du Grand Serre Map and resort is located in the Isère department of south eastern France. Providing easy access to Grenoble. A friendly medium sized ski resort that combines scenery, affordable skiing, quieter slopes and a relaxed, authentic atmosphere. Residing in the gateway to the Écrins National Park.

Unfortunately, as of summer 2025 the Alpe du Grand Serre has been closed until further notice – read more on Planet Ski here. It may reopen eventually, so watch this space.

However, before closing, the piste area of Alpe du Grand Serre base sits at around 1,360 metres. Lifts reach up to 2,180 metres, a vertical drop of 820 metres and around 55 kilometres of piste to explore. So there was plenty of skiing to enjoy. Furthermore, a mix of beginner, intermediate and a few advanced slopes provided something for everyone.
