The Aspen Mountain ski map and resort (often called “Ajax” by locals) is one of Colorado’s most iconic ski resorts. The mountain is served by a life networking nearing 10 lifts altogether. This set up includes the Silver Queen Gondola, which ascends from Aspen directly up to the top of mountain. A unique and convenient feature that lets you start your ski day right from town without driving.
Aspen Mountain ski map typically sees around 300 inches of snowfall per season. Furthermore, for those winter with delayed natural snow snowmaking covers approximately a third of the terrain to help. Accommodation in Aspen Mountain
Aspen Mountain accommodation has everything from ultra-luxury slope-side stays to more modest lodges and apartments in and around Aspen town. Most accommodation in Aspen is within walking distance or a short shuttle from the Silver Queen Gondola that takes you up Aspen Mountain. Although true ski-in ski-out is limited compared with some larger resorts.
If Aspen is a little too expensive, or you want more ski-in ski-out variety, Snowmass Village provides this. Only about 10–15 min drive or free shuttle away. Staying here gives you easier slope access across a large ski area as well as free bus links to Aspen.
