Sölden is one of the most popular ski resorts in Austria, located in the Ötztal Valley in Tyrol. Renowned for its wide range of blue, green, red and even some black slopes, modern up to date lift systems, and relatively high-altitude skiing. All of this combined provides a fantastic ski resort. Furthermore excellent snow conditions can be had throughout the season, from late autumn to spring.

The Sölden piste map offers just over 140 kilometres of slope to enjoy. A big skiing area all linked by modern, fast and efficient lifts. You can even ski three separate peaks above 3,000 metres in one day. Heights around the ski area range from around 1,350 to above 3,300 metres. With something for all abilities.

Beginners can enjoy many of the gentle slopes near the base of the resort, as well as above Hochsölden. That being said those who enjoy red runs and of intermediate level have plenty to explore, with long enjoyable runs providing almost 1,000 metres of descent.

For the advanced, the Solden piste map provides the occasional black run . Challenging glacier runs and off piste terrain to explore.

The annual FIS Alpine Ski World Cup opening races take place at on the Sölden ski map too, on the Rettenbach Glacier. Attracting the world’s best international athletes.

Snow conditions on the Solden piste map are fantastic early on and late into the season thanks to its twin glaciers and high elevation. Sölden is one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe. Skiing typically runs from October to May.
