Åre Ski Map

Åre is a popular ski destination located in the province of Jämtland in central Sweden. Situated approximately 90 kilometers (56 miles) west of the city of Östersund and about 630 kilometers (390 miles) northwest of Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden.

Being the largest ski area in Sweden, Are provides plenty of slopes suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, including beginners, intermediates, and advanced riders. Offering 103 ski runs, with a combined length of over 100 kilometers (62 miles), serviced by 42 lifts, including several high-speed chairlifts.

The skiing season in Åre typically runs from late November to early May, depending on snow conditions. With altitudes ranging from 380 meters (1,250 feet) to 1,274 meters (4,180 feet) and an average of 3 meters (10 feet) of snowfall annually.

Åre offers a range of off-piste activities, including snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice skating, and snowmobiling. The resort has several on-site amenities, including restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops.
