Glenshee Ski Map
Glenshee ski map and resort is the largest ski resort in Scotland and one of the biggest in the UK. Offering a wide and varied ski area spread across four mountains and three valleys. Located in the Cairngorms National Park in eastern Scotland, around 2 hours from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Known for its expansive terrain, in UK terms, dramatic Highland scenery and a distinctly Scottish ski experience shaped by natural beauty and unpredictable weather.
With around 40 kilometres of slope available on the Glenshee piste map to explore, combined with 21 lifts transporting guests from heights of 650 to 900m make for something quite unique in a country not widely recognised for it’s skiing and snowboarding.
Rugged and wide-open, with rolling peaks, windswept ridges, and sweeping pistes provide a unique mountain feel unlike anywhere else in the UK. With good variety of runs too, from gentle green, to trickier blues and reds for more intermediates. There’s also a black run for the experts – Tiger.
Very much weather dependant, Glenshee’s snow conditions depend heavily on the patterns of weather. However with improved snowmaking and cold microclimate, the resort enjoys good seasons when the snow goods and weather combine.
Residing within the Cairngorms National Park, Glenshee and the surrounding area offers plenty to do other than piste action, including:
- Winter walking
- Snowshoeing
- Wildlife watching
- Highland castles visits
- Whisky distilleries in Royal Deeside
- Scenic drives through the Cairnwell Pass, the highest main road in the UK
